Hopping ponies needs to be fixed

Guessing it works similar as Darkfall bunny hoping which was obnoxious. Basicly u shoot the ground with a knock back effect and walk into it to slingshot you and u proceed to jump each time you hit the ground to keep the momentum of the knockback. In DF though atleast u took fall dmg until u hit 1hp so u can still snipe them with a arrow or spell.
Also you could use this without momentum skill on a hill by jumping cause when u hit a slop in DF u pick up speed slowly with each jump :P

In crowfall version im guessing there using the Horse charge by the look then spam jump to keep the momentum of the charge.

woops

bunnyhopping used to be a speed boost for everyone until they fixed it. Used to be a great way to cover ground as a stealther and seeing guinecians "dirt dolphin" to move in burrow at full speed was a common occurance.

guess centaurs evaded that fix. Probably need to look in to that.

Stamina did run out shortly before the end of the sprintsequence, so sprinting is on pretty much the same time as jumping.

And in fact.. you are not faster than mounted at any given point BUT if you go into survivalmode and start jumping, you are as fast as a active Trailmaster, while Pathfinding is still loading.

Does this explain why centaur champs seem to be able to continue hopping at speed even after being dizzied in the survival tray?

you have to hit them 3 times or so in survival tray before dizzy down.
