  1. 1. Would you trade unwanted gears for extra resources (wood, ore, hide, +rare item chance) ?

    • Yes! Break gear for the material resources
      8
    • No! Give me the xp
      0
  2. 2. Buying materials should be costly and/or removed from vendor?

    • Yes! Its too easy to craft gears with vendors
      4
    • No! That would make a infinite grind fest

Your second question is odd, what do you mean? Players can’t sell higher than common quality materials any more?

Regarding the 1st question, salvage is a planned part of the game. We don't know what Ace's vision for salvage is, or what the timeline is (likely post launch), but it is high on their list of things to do.

Regarding 1st question, after reaching level cap, salvage for experience points would no longer work and all sacrifice items are to cash in for gold

As for the 2nd question, It is currently possible to buy materials from NPC vendors which removes the need of crafting axe, pick, and hammer also stops player from venturing out which defeats the reason for the game. My question is if you agree or disagree to NPC vendor selling wood ore and hide

As VaMei said, Salvaging is already planned, so you'll have something to do with those drops other than sell them to the vendor.

The resource vendors only sell white quality resources and you have to go out into the world to get gold if you want to buy them. It's far more efficient to harvest the resources rather than buy them.

Salvaging is the answer to your first question and white resources are useless unless its after a wipe or if you're just wanting to test out a new class real quick. So vendors selling common ore or wood, doesn't really matter.

Only the common material and starter gear vendors are NPC ran, all the rest are player vendors. Common material is borderline worthless between crafting and wartribe drops. We throw it in the fire for leveling new people's common vessels or for some of the filler items in crafting that quality doesn't matter.
