Sugguestions to Ranger and utility

Recommended Posts

A Rangers traps play a key role in open world pvp and in the ranger class itself,  they should work as part of the classes damage output (since weapon damage is restricted) and I think they should come in many shapes and forms.

Changes + Addons

  1. All Ranger traps used should be placed for a 30 minute duration (longer than non ranger traps)
  2. A skill/trait or disciplie to enable ranger to stealth a trap they placed
  3.  Rangers can place up to 5 traps at once

Ranger Traps could have various functions and/or be scaled with level, skill and other factors.

Standard Trap: size: 2x2.  maxtarget:1. damage: Bleed damage of 5% of targets max health every second for 5 seconds

Poison Trap: size 2x2  maxtarget:3    damage: Poison damage 1% of target max health every second for 20 seconds

Fire Trap 3x3   maxtarget:3   damage: 11% on contact. 3% of max health every second for 3 secs

Net Trap:  6x6    maxtarget: 8  damage: 5% on contact. Root for 5 secs

Tracker Trap: 2x2: maxtarget: 1 damage: 0 dmg. Enemy afflicted shows up on map and cant be stealthed for 60 secs

To be honest I think traps could be larger in size maybe? They make great comic effect and also warns that the forest is no place for a wanderer

Also since Crowfall has a strange affinity to the forest. Why not be able to mount/climb a tree for stationary bonuses like farsight/stealth?

In another post I mentioned about PvP small structures...Feel free to check it out, maybe Ranger can excel as in Enviromental Weaponary to stay true to the protection of the forest 🦚 🦚    🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚    🦚  🦚 🦚 🦚    🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚    🦚  🦚 🦚 🦚    🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚    🦚  🦚 🦚 🦚    🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚  🦚
