Trollracs 16 Share Posted October 22, 2020 Think specialty seals... Now, there are values that increase as you go up in rarity. Say white is .5 purple is .75 mining. If I use a purple specialty seal on gear or a tool and it goes into a WHITE tool. Does the value that you then experiment on turn to the .5 value or still keep the .75 value. The idea is can I make a stronger mining tool or something and not have to make it fully into a purple item? but still get decent base numbers from the specialty seals? Arkade 4,155 Share Posted October 22, 2020 Well, seals can't be used in tools. They can only be added to leather, mail or plate armor. You can, however, add higher quality seals to lower quality armor, but you probably won't get the same lift as you would if the armor were higher quality. Maybe you get lucky and the armor gets bootstrapped to the higher quality, but you're more likely to get something between the two quality levels. So if you use a purple seal in white armor, the stats should end up being better than if you used a white seal (assuming you don't have an assembly failure), but not as good as if you made purple armor with a purple seal.
