It's still Bell tower and ONLY Bell Tower for point generation. You will want to build other things of course to make your keep more useful but none of that adds to your points. A rank 1 Bell Tower gets X points per hour, rank 2 is 2X, and rank 3 is 3X.

And currently there is no way to get building materials except forts?

 

Cant run pigs till you build a Canavasery -- need materials to build that too...

You can run pigs to refinery's

Isn't the whole point to contest capture points?  If your looking to avoid fights and gain resources isn't that antithetical to the devs intentions?
