i've not watched (either of the two?) streams, but i did skim the forum to see if there was a single News post discussing the (esport tournament with cash prizes?*) but nope, thats just on the home page #link. about what i expect from the forum at this point. (with the 'news' forum flooded with 'test news' content as usual).

i only read things that make it to https://crowfall.com/en-US/news/articles

Same here.

I hoped somebody discussed which improvements of the game are in the pipeline for next milestone, but I suppose I need to watch the streaming myself. ūüôā

They are having a HD tournament in may, 50k prize pool. Currently anyone that is investor or affiliated cannot participate. Ace is trying to find out legal details.

Dregs are planned to be 1 month long. 

Guild leaders will determine import/export rewards for campaigns.

Question was asked in the last 5 minutes about adding more content, Jtodd said there is plenty of content. I would advise watching that last 5 or minutes to see just how he responded to that query. 

I would advise ACE to delete that.

To be fair he said there's plenty of content and he would rather fix the content that exists so people want to do it than just add more stuff on top of it.

I thought the answer was appropriate. There are things to do, but we don't care about them. ACE needs to close game loops and make things more connected for us, so we want to do any of the variety of things we could be doing. I don't think he was saying, "there's tons to do, and we just don't get why you're not doing them." To me it sounded like, "there's enough to do, and we need to figure out how to make those things appealing for you to spend time on."

As an example, this would make me engage with farming camps. It does not take much "new" content, it simply involves a more elegant gameloop when it comes to killing mobs.

He said they had plenty of content, but *something* about many of those pieces needs to be fixed.

The problem isn't entirely "not enough to do", it's that what there is to do is not fun/compelling enough, and he would rather fix those aspects first, before adding more things that could also be added in an equally unappealing state.  

Why are people not running pigs? Why is nobody taking camps? What is wrong with forts? Why are more people not out harvesting and therefor generating player encounters? 

Questions like that should be looked at first, before piling on even more systems that may or may not fix the real problem.

I guess this is where we differ. Focusing on improving the little PvE in this game wont help the PvP. I have heard this song and dance about pve driving pvp in this game before; specifically with caravans and camps off the top of my head. To improve the PvE in this game would take a monumental task including new AI scripting, questing system, voice overs, storyline, the whole pve experience.

Because its bad PvE content in the first place. Escort quest really? The most despised type of pve quest mechanic....

Not necessarily. 

The first campaign where camps mattered for the cards, and cards counted for victory, they were super active, contested, and PvP hot zones. Then the chests got nerfed, the way to win moved entirely to conquest, and with the loot  being sub par, and the WT camps far better avenues to both gold and gear, people moved away from camps unless they came up in the cards, and they became less interesting. 

Due to human behavior of seeking the path of least resistance to progress, the moment task A becomes more rewarding than task B, by even a small margin, task B will be dropped and task A will be the task of focus.

I hate they constantly close threads which stifles conversation. 

As to your post, yes they need to make things fun. Take for instance pigs. They could delete the escort and make it a vehicle for players to control. Then they could spice it up, maybe give it ability to trample players, or make it so a full group could ride and defend. Bah, i am wasting my time they never read forums.

I do not believe they can fix what's there without adding new stuff. What is there to do right now? You got capture points, you got mob camp grinding, you got crafting, and you got sieges (and building associated with them). Ignoring the fact that the game doesn't really do a good job explaining these to you, what point do all of these serve? It all builds towards the combat. You grind mob camps to get discs and build characters, you gather and craft to get gear etc. Currently, the game lacks compelling objectives. What is needed is more accessible trading, better communication features, more things to fight over. Ability to claim resource nodes, camps, and other PoIs, having the ability to control some degree of resources in a campaign map, having the ability to trade between other factions using the resources you control would fix the issue.
