Do not like the changes to the Grilled Sandwich Dined effects... Bonus to node damage becomes relatively redundant pretty quickly, and has many other sources, whereas Crit Harvest Amount is actually a fairly difficult stat to cap on with limited pools to draw from. Will CHAmnt be made available from another recipe/source?

The new Grilled Sandwich buffs have redundancies too (every harvest type is represented twice), I feel like that's a wasted chance to add more variety in buff types.

P.S. I guess CHAmnt is so desirable as a food buff as to make other harvesting foods irrelevant, but I hope that the loss from this area will be recouped somewhere else - more CHAmnt scaling on Int, higher amounts on Discs, there are other options to keep the current balance while allowing more freedom in choice of Dined food buffs.

I don't think they could make those sandwich items any more worthless.

Please turn the "Harvest Mushrooms" and "Harvest Ginseng" stages of the NPE to quest style interactables instead of normal lootable mushrooms and ginseng. Folks are going to camp these spawns for tippers and other useful crafted food.

I've just finished the entirety of the new NPE - this is a huge improvement for new players and the overall flow of the game. There are some downsides here but this is huge improvement, and it doesn't make me feel embarrassed like the previous one.

Pros

  • You go through every single activity that folks should be doing, provide relatively clear instructions, and guide the players the entire way.
  • There is no jarring disconnect between GR and Infected anymore.
  • You get to the part where you can get PVP at basically level 30 on the dot, assuming you kill what is annoying you while you do the quests. Most new players will be 30 as soon as they land there if not before.
  • You are still accomplishing the splitting up of factions in low sec that you want, but allowing for PVP there too potentially.

Cons

  • There are a lot of filler quests giving out lore and trying to expand the world a bit for the players. Some parts are more serious, other parts are very silly, and some parts drag on. Consider reducing some of the back and forth fetch quests that send you less than 100m to go do something, but since this NPE is likely a one time thing for most people it isn't awful. It's just not paced that well.
  • The mobs spawn a little too fast for a single player in the early game, but that feature will be useful when there is more than one person trying to complete the quest.
  • The final hunger boss was a big wtf moment for me. I would prefer a hunger griffin or something, not a really goofy boss.
  • Takes a little over 2.5 - 3hrs to finish roughly.

I also noticed a few things that should probably be tweaked.

  • The General boss you run into is very tanky, it's definitely the most "tuned" enemy of the NPE. I worry that healers leveling solo will struggle to kill the monster in any reasonable amount of time. You could probably reduce it's HP by 30 - 40% and accomplish the feeling you are looking for.
  • There is a part where  you need to kill aracroix enemies when you are level 17, and when you finish you fight an on level boss. The pre-requisite aracroix are level 10 - 12 instead of closer to your level, and feel like a waste of time.
  • The final quest where you learn about keeps and forts and stuff doesn't actually direct players to click on the pedestals and may be confusing if someone is spamming through quest text like most folks do.
  • I'd reduce the number of mobs needed to be killed for the kill quests down to max 4 or 5. Just let people pull a single pack and get it over with quicker - this will save probably 25 - 30 minutes of running around over the course of the entire NPE for very little value.

For new players this is definitely an upgrade. If they read the quest text, they will learn stuff and will likely make it to the PVP zone. It may drag on a little too long but that's tweakable. Great job ACE.

I've only done the New Player Experience up to where I need to port to the Sun temple but I can sat that so fay it's 10 times better than the previous NPE. It not only tells us how to do stuff but also explained WHY we should learn this stuff. And, it explains why we need to do gathering & crafting to prepare us for our main role: PvP. Gratz to the staff!

I'll edit this as I do more of the NPE.

Hot Zones

  • didn't notice double rewards. same gold as regular war tribe camps
  • no indicator what's so "hot" about it other than flames on the map. just says that there is an event and a timer until it ends, nothing about what you can gain from it
  • what types of hot zones are there? just spots with mobs?

So i am a new player here, and as my first experience with the game, it is a decent solid game so far.  A bug i noticed was when escorting the pigs from Bernard to Lax in sun they get stuck going threw the gates and have a pathing issue, rather than going threw the gate like i did, they followed the walk way to the left of the gate and out the other side of the door way.

These are all in my own opinions.

Pros:

  • The mobs don't seem overly too hard for one person to take a few at once
  • The mobs always drop gold
  • Game play experience makes me want to keep playing and invite more people to play with me
  • The quests where easy to tell where to go.
  • Quest are not too hard to complete.
  •

Cons:

  • When starting the game, i got a little confused as to what i was doing.
  • Crafting was a bit complicated to figure out
  • If in party with people loot is only giving to the highest damager in party,
  •

When i play the game more or get my friends opinions ill put more. but these are my initial thoughts

I am still going through the NPE but to me it becomes clear with each quest that giving us a horse should be the very first thing it does. There is a lot of walking around.

It is good tho. Just need to give us horses so we move around faster.

Bosses all seem incredibly easy. I mean, i have like 3 powers and im still kicking their ass. Id make them tankier if nothing else, maybe 2 or lvl higher.

With starter weapons and not full gear set mind you. so yeah, too damn weak.
