This is such a sad update:

  • Topic 1  Layoffs
  • Topic 2  The "what's next" part reads like something you would expect to see in early beta
  • Topic 3  Bring your friends, we really need their money want to grow the community. We even give you mounts and stuff.
  • Topic 4  Click our Twitch stuff so maybe a few people buy the game. Please. We give you some ingame poorly made dergs for clicks

Thanks, Gordon.

Perhaps it would if you are new to playing MMOs.

Expecting a working Chat system, Group Loot options, Campaign Reward requirements, Scaling & Testing, and EK player management (player housing) at launch from a game thats been in development this long make a person new to the mmo space? Feels like a Beta to me.

Expecting no further updates to such systems after launch would, yes.

Don't mind Jah, players like him and Mandalore have helped keep CF in this pro zerg anti-fun state. They whiteknight the devs questionable decisions and also are somehow confused about why the game has a diminishing population.

How many more weeks do you think ACE has before the entire population is gone?

But launching with chat being borked, no group loot options, broken Campaign Reward system, no real scaling or balance, and the EK system that has not been worked on in years is what we should have expected and is 100% acceptable, is what you are saying?

Nope. But you shouldn't be surprised to see those systems getting updates after launch.

So these basic systems should be circled back around to this quickly after launch is what you are saying? This is normal in the mmo space?

Yes, I would say updates to chat systems, looting, rewards, performance, and housing after launch are pretty normal for an MMO.

Overhauls... not updates.

Let us be clear on that, please.

Example:  An update is like, oh dang, we forgot the guild tab in the currently robust EK menu (*no such menu currently exists*).  The fact that no such menu currently exists (to manage EKs) is a major add to something that was not there prior - overhaul of the EK system.  Same applies for content, chat functions, banking functions, vendor functions, etc, etc...

Really? Improving the chat UI is something thats not completed during the alpha or beta phase of every game ever made? No one expects to see that as a goal to look forward to months after release.

World of Warcraft is still getting chat system updates 17 years after launch...

ACE Shill CONFIRMED

I think those, like Jah, who blindly support (even the broken aspects of the game) are not helping.  Turning blind eye with ignorant comments just sums up the current state of Crowfall IMO.

Comments like "updates are expected" is minimizing the reality of the broken state of this game.  We all should hope this game gets the attention, fixes, updates, it needs, but to downplay the current state is just harmful.

Loving the game regardless is great, but isn't wanting and advocating for more from it even better?

Yes, I would say updates to chat systems, looting, rewards, performance, and housing after launch are pretty normal for an MMO.

So diving back into the most basic systems like chat or guild ui(no guild ui in game) , Shared loot(also not in game), rewards(the "throne" we are fighting for after the points get tallied from the scrims), all of that should be getting circled around to again this close to launch? Let me get this right, its normal for mmos to often launch missing the most basic of systems and pump them out in panic mode the first few months? This is all normal in the life cycle of an mmo?
