Consolidate to 1 server, eliminate all the testing happening right now, compensate the left over players and all the backers, and pray we have 500 people still making sieges great again, because im pretty sure 90% of my Guild went to new world today and don't plan on logging on here again ever.

W/HoA were held up as like these mystical forces of highly skilled players with legendary theorycrafters chained to a desk in some deep dungeon holding all the arcane secrets we could use to win if only we knew them.

If the devs got rid of their pride and made crowfall a throne *war* simulator pvp territory conquest war where the most common activity was fair pvp instead of a grind for gear to win slog farming simulator scoreboard watcher, it would be a good game full of players. But no. That is clearly too much for them to figure out. Absolutely dont feel sorry for them. We couldnt make it any more clear at this point.

Lol, to play someone else's game and not their own......who runs this operation? What a waste of 7 years.

Agreed, I think that if they repurposed CF into a more instanced, game where you mainly queued in and out of fights and such it could be fun to get on and play for an hour or so. The main problem is the game markets itself as a open world sandbox hardcore pvp game, and doesn't really succeed at any of those. Barely open world, barely a sandbox, and barely a hardcore pvp game.

Ironically all the Crowfall Youtubers they paid off to make 'Crowfall Vs New World' videos have all switched to making New World content 😅

thats cause the money is in new world for them, Twitch streamers and people who make living from youtube and all that will go to the new hot thing to make the money from the excitment it comes with. Like chances of people viewing ur Newworld strema new shiny game is more likely to get donation than an older one and so on

Yeah I think the reality kind of hit them. I think a lot of them were really upset the game didn't do good because they spent like 4 years building themselves up as the go to Crowfall Youtubers and then the game blooped

well we all told them it was way to early to release sooo kinda there own fault tbh, but i guess they ran out of money or pressure from investors

New Worlds pvp is worse but the game is overall better, too bad the pvp is the most important part other than say.... people actually playing.

What would make Crowfall more fun would be deleting dregs capping numbers PER faction, opening sieges to being nonstop with repairs being able to be done as soon as the wall drops combat ((no longer has siege attacking it) (a cooldown so that the wall cannot be instantly repaired))it can be kept in combat by the attacking force by keeping siege hitting the area occasionally, captures being free (no seed), no more fail ass pig escorts for resources that everyone hated doing, no more spending 2 weeks running resources to upgrade keeps (all the boring crap taken out of keep sieging) forts become important for points and maybe for siege engine resources?

This aids durability and risk for 0 gain game design has to go, durability is fine if there is compensation for losses but there is not in Crowfall and the rate at which gear breaks is ridiculous, you want people to partake in pvp not hide and run from it give us both a reason to do it reward wise and stop punishing us for playing the game.

Dregs is a bad idea for the reasons that have played out, smaller guilds (most of the player base LEFT because it was the endgame and they had no REAL chance to compete and do the content among many other issues. Faction v Faction is a better version of Dregs, it gives small guilds/large guilds equality via equal numbers (zone caps per faction and if one faction is underrepresented it will be the faction people want to go to to get into zones they are otherwise locked out of due to caps), nothing you do in dregs will force all small guilds to band together to fight big guilds (15 alliances, 50 alliances does not matter) and be successful, most small guilds built up their rivalries with each other as well and most likely want to fight each other because that is the only CLOSE to fair fights they ever get. Can you not see you are trying to just turn Dregs into Faction v Faction with all these changes anyway?

The class balance is abysmal, so yeah most classes have 1 spec that work and 2 that do not, CC classes in MOST cases suck partly because everyone has cc immunity 50% of the time, Tank classes are mostly useless as well while others are gods and still have more damage in some cases than most other specs, there is soo much to fix about Crowfall still and class balance is not the most important but it is still in a really bad place however we see and hear next to nothing about any balance changes even being planned.

There is LOADS more stuff that people have covered in the forums and I do not have the interest to post it all again, some are good ideas some not so much because they would create loopholes to exploit (for example 500 person guild caps with 250 person zone cap so you can just cap the zone to avoid sieges), these are not the designs that will ever make your game better it just encourages people to ruin the game for others by using game mechanics to avoid loss. You just need to actually put thought into what people can do to exploit X change and if you cannot come up with a way to fix the exploit don't implement it in that way.

But then all of the whales who have ruined the game by giving bad ideas and reach arounds to ACE will throw a fit.

ACE sunk themselves a long time ago. They will never make the right decisions.

Wouldn't matter much.  While I loved the game until the shadow map changes, the entire game is a treadmill.  Very few people enjoy that over the long term.

This is actually the final verdict on the game, I believe it to be correct, If their cash shop didn't suck so bad and actually had a monetary plan for sustainment located there, it would be a viable idea.

New World is more of a MMO. Worse PvP experience, but more stuff to do.

The only chance at a revival is as follows:

1. Use this rock-bottom situation to test and narrow in on MAJOR core gameplay system changes that work

2. Marketing push to broadcast the above, quite obvious that unless there are MAJOR changes players will not come back

3. Fix the hopelessly incompetent monetization of the game, design a cash-shop that would actually bring in revenue

4. Go F2P in Q1 or Q2 2022 latest (so you at least have the small core of diehard fans left) and concurrently launch on Steam

If instead the plan is merely to polish what we have now, there is no hope. It is known.

It's cool - they'll just flick a few parameters for the campaigns and the players will come flocking back...
