Faes and Guinecians Keep Entry

Recommended Posts

While Keeps were always intended to provide some protection against roving bands of marauders in a very hostile world, they were never intended to be 100% safe. While there are upgrades to the Keeps that allow for many different types of guards to provide some protection against intruders, as well as a debuff inside the central Keep building which prevents enemy stealth classes from entering stealth, neither of these is a 100% guaranteed deterrent. There are specific mechanics given to certain races and classes (particularly Fae and Duelists) that make it possible for them to bypass the walls of the Keeps. Those mechanics were put in to ensure that there are always dynamic gameplay opportunities: even in Keeps, there could always be danger lurking in the shadows. We recommend that when you are in a friendly Keep, you remain vigilant, and if you must AFK, the best place to do so is inside the Keep central building where it at least forces any enemies out of stealth who may have snuck inside.

But faes have ways with the flying bug, to access places, no other race even from inside can access or attack. that cant be intentional or is it? For example on the Top of the Corner of Keep walls the round towers, they can fly on the top of that roof, noone else can access that even with double jump etc. or being able to fly like 300 m in the air, where nobody can attack them.

It's not that the keep should be safe, keep it interesting.

It's the "manner" by which the keep is entered that is the issue.  When players can enter on Nethari and use the Fae "flying" to reach areas on the building that aren't otherwise accessiable then the issue arise.

No offense, but that was a whole bunch of words that literally said nothing and didn't clear up ANYTHING about that 6 page thread.

It's really simple. Just give an official statement about the following question: Is the flying a bannable offense or not? Yes/no.

I've seen Fae jump in places only the admins of the game could go. Is it intentional?
It is normal for a Fae to fly for more than 1000m and even go on top of the portals stones?

What can you do against those players abusing it and admitting it? Clearly you guys need to put some discipline otherwise this will reflect very badly on the reputation of the game. I want to tell my friends to play this game. I don't want to tell them to stay away because people are abusing it without repercussion.

Is this intended by the Devs? You can't aim there as they are 50+m away, and our camera/reticle wont go that high to even aim directly under, but they can look down and attack us there? It seems like you are protecting your selected few chosen ones.

So why make a change to add damage to keeps during non siege hours(which isn’t working fully) or remove rocks and other ways for far to jump into keeps? Or am I missing something? The big issue is certain players are using an exploit to essentially permanently fly on the fae to enter keeps, are you saying that fae are supposed to be able to perms fly when they want to? This sounds like the “fixes” failed and no one wants to put in the work to fix the mistakes in the fixes.

I just want to point out nobody craft in keeps. So whether they are safe zones or not is irrelevant. It isnt our home, it is where we get our buffs.

It is like with the import tokens. Testserver bug notes:

*known issue* disc take import tokens ....... next dregs: you have more tokens, but discs need them.

take a bug and make it a "feature".

7.100 Global Conquest Live Server Update Notes for 8/31/2021

  • Adjusted the rock height near the Dregs Keep so that Fae can't jump and dodge into the Dregs Keep
  • Removed the giant rock that was allowing the Fae to jump into a neighboring fort.

  • Keep Interiors will now apply a damage over time effect when infiltrated by enemies outside of a siege window

Thanks Tiggs for this.  It definitely helps settle the Keep issue.  Honestly though, I don't think many people cared about that.  Sure it was an annoyance, but it was considered ok gameplay.

What alot of people really want to know is...  Is being able to glitch fly (not glide) acceptable gameplay?  Hovering 500m in the air and being able to land on people, or being able to get out of a fight quickly by flying away?  In alot of our minds, this is game breaking.  It would be nice to get your perspective on whether it's allowed or not, and if you see it as game breaking or not.  That will allow us to understand better where you are coming from.

There is a bug where Fae's can stay airborne longer than we'd like that we plan to fix soon.

and that is our problem, especially if people are loud enough in their crying, that they get people banned who did not cheat or bug abuse and others do abuse bugs knowingly and nothing happens even when it gets reported. There is no equality for the playerbase.

You can linger in a forum of a game you dislike and be toxic, or you can just move on play something different. If you can't move on then its probably time for you to seek some mental respite. 

I choose to play Crowfall - problems and all - because its a fun game. Why do you hate fun?
