Bane

Recommended Posts

Bane was under water as well and no one reported it.

I raised that question as well, "apparently" it did not go under water till that morning....that was buggy enough for it's removal or moving it to dry land.

I can tell you that there is a city that now is completely underwater but some weeks ago was on land.

I'm not sure if it is a bug or somethings different.

Usually on live if you petitioned an underwater banestone those were moved on the ground (sometime). I had a bane dropped by ODB on a Sotd city on Brialla (Sotd was the resident CN nation) moved on ground because underwater but the leader of that nation (if you were on Braialla you must remember Bamba) didn't tried to petition it because he said that those bane were never removed (maybe i was lucky) . I have no idea about what is the policy on Sbemu but clearly if a stone is underwater the defender need to have it moved on ground, melee can't bash it because stamina burn

If you didn't reported it is not dev fault...

The stone was on land the day it was baned. Apparently after reset it went under water and no one noticed it until like an hour before it went live. We have 2 dev's in our nation and asked them in teamspeak to move it, they said it was too late and would look like dev intervention if they did anything right before bane. Fair enough, rather lose some pixels than have a scandal.

Well another bug , but imagine to have your city completely underwater, we call it Acquarium now...

That is definitely the correct call.

At the same time it's plain obvious when a bug is a bug, when the bane is underwater, scandal or not...it's a bug. Had this happend in SB live, the bane would never of happend, it would have been removed and guilds reimbursed. That's how it worked back then. If it happend to any other guild they would have thought the same, except Tactics who cry about everything, even though when banes aren't underwater they are now losing banes and cities left and right, even when they cup and call in CN. Sadly for them, CN is a shell, we beat TArget in a bane easily, on a r8 that wasn't even under nation tags, they brought a lot, and got crushed. Tactics brought in BDLG against C&L, and got crushed still.

Off track there but still, a bug is a bug and should have been dealt with, regardless of what nation some devs are in. There was physical evidence of the bug (bane under water)

At the bane there were less than 1 group from Bldg and they went there from Khan (not from our tree) when the bane was already lost (10 minutes before the tree went down). They got wiped once and didn't returned. I'm not sure if they were called or if they went there on their own but at that point to be able change the situation a lot more than 1 group of ppl were needed, so if they were called was a big mistake because they were useless at that point.

Btw cup against wonderful numbers is something that other nation were ready to do (http://shadowbaneemulator.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=326&t=23255) and you had wonderful numbers at that bane so the only difference that the guys that helped us were just a few (less than 1 grp) were late at the party (tree was already nearly done) and were asians and maybe they were there on their own. We lost another bane yesterday night and we were badly outnumbered again by CnL and no one was there to help us so maybe those ppl from BLDG were at the other bane on their own.
