They try, they lose, they try again.   It's almost become a like a morning training exercise for the mods.

Maybe it not about the happy ending. Maybe it's about the story.

perhaps a topic should be approved by a mod before it appears on the forum or something.

They could link the ability to post a new topic to a certain amount of posts you have or some kind of approval rate..But it would be a shame that new people having a nice idea wouldn't be able to share it because of that measure.

Normally I love asian stuff a lot, except for this.

I actually think it is a great idea.   New forum members should perhaps read the faq before posting or starting a topic.   Commenting would not have the same requirement obviously.   A number of comments before a new topic can be started, I like it much!

Maybe it not about the happy ending. Maybe it's about the story.

kim jung unnnn has released his attack on crowfall because they wouldnt add him in as an ingame god! the koreans got their best haxers together and launched a full fledge attack on the website but the crowfall mods swiftly took them down more info when the interview pt 2 comes out.

I wanted to suggest that for a while.   Alot of game forums are like that.   Have it read only for non backers.

Edit:   They can probably only do that after KS is complete and our accounts there are linked here.

Yeah, no.

Reasoning behind why that would not be a good idea?

Potential players will not be able to come here and ask questions ? It will also give CF a really bad publicity. "they charge us even for posting on the forums"

A simple question captcha would fix a lot of these problems.  Something quite simple, like what game's forums are you signing up for?  Answer, Crowfall.  It worked on our community website, and we have not had but two spam posts in the last two years.  Both times were done with legacy accounts.

My reasoning was mostly business minded.   This IS private property not a public domain.  No business ( example  a car dealership ) is going to allow someone against their product to come into their lobby and cause dissent among their clientele.   They would get the boot immediately because 1)  it IS private property 2) they have a responsibility to protect their customers 3)  no one benefits from that kind of poorly made socks!

EDIT:  To further my example of the car dealership, a potential customer can come in and look ( a non backer )  but they certainly can not take possession of the car before they throw some money out and sign on the dotted line ( a backer )
