Is "dregs" A Good First Campaign Name For This Game?

Recommended Posts

I think the name "Dregs" for the first campaign is a mistake.  If the game had other campaigns, it might make sense, but the first retail release will essentially be "Crowfall:Dregs".  This is not very inspiring, its sort of like calling it "Crowfall:Crappy".

Something like "Crowfall: Wildling Lands" makes more sense.  Or maybe someone in the comments below has a cooler idea ;)

The dregs is not the campaign name it is the rule set.

Also I believe that when they release they intend to release all rule sets and not just the dregs or just the gods reach.

Dregs seems to be the most basic mode, most of the other modes have additional rules, like factions and systems to uphold and organize players, or gods reach, which has several divisions of god bases teams.

Dregs is open alignment FFA, so it's the least addition heavy mode to prepare.

I think others have missed the point of the OP.

He contests that the NAME is dreary.

Personally, I think that the name is perfect.  The Dregs are far beyond even where the gods venture.  They aren't a happy place.  Dreary quite fits.

That won't mean it will be Crowfall: Dregs though.  That would be silly at best.

I agree poor name choice but not so bad that we can't get accustomed to it.

dregs
the remnants of a liquid left in a container, together with any sediment or grounds.
"coffee dregs"

the most worthless part or parts of something.
