Olá A Todos!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I'm Douglas Kim, a young illustrator and gamer down here in Brazil.

The things that definitely interested me about Crowfall is the gorgeous art. It's simple-ish, yet very beautiful. It does not relies on fancy effects, explosions, magical auras or what to like so many other modern online games. That is a huge turn-on for me as an artist and gamer.

Another great thing was the prospect of a new online MMORPG that tries to break the old conventions imposed by other games in the genre and isn't afraid of trying new things, and a lot of those new things definitely attracted me to it.

I've played WoW in the past and always had lots of fun, but lately, I've began to dislike the massive button mashing and "waiting for things to happen", instead of a true action-based combat. We're past the dial-up connection days, I think we can manage to have real-time action-based combat in a MMO game. :P

I've also played EVE Online (not for too long, though), and one thing that always turned me down on it was the fact that you probably would never "win" at the game. With the passive skill training system, whoever began playing before you already has a huge advantage against you and whoever begins playing after them.

I think Crowfall will be a great game in spite of all this and I'm madly excited about it. I never supported any game on kickstarter before (especially a MMO) and want to believe that this one will be "the one game" that hooks me up, that makes me think of it when I'm away from it and make me want to go back to it.

And on that note, are there other brazillian orportuguese players/supporters here?

It'd be nice to know y'all. :)

Cheers!

Welcome, from the other side of the equator!  I agree with you that to have a way to win will be refreshing.  Even more so, the ability to learn from your performance - win or lose - and restart, is very appealing.

What archetype are you looking to play?

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome!

And I still have no idea, there's so many options.

Beside what's been told in the trailers and concept videos, with the further customization, there are so many possibilities, I'm kind of at a loss. <XD

Welcome to the forums!  Yeah, the one thing MMOs tend to avoid is a win situation.  I kind of got the Win feel with the SWTOR game but have stuck with that mostly because I'm a huge SW nut.

I'm always afraid of being lynched by saying this. But I never saw the Star War movies nor anything on the universe.

But still, thank you very much for the welcoming, that's nice of ya'. =D
