New Faces

...additionally, we're inviting a few new faces to join our team!  In fact, over the next few months you can expect to see a bit of shuffling: a few new people will join us, and a few will move to new positions (like Tully, who recently moved to the CF design team, and Val who replaced him as our new community manager!) and a few will wrap up their contracts and leave.  This is normal game development stuff, inevitable as we transition from a project-that-we-hope-will-happen to a project-that-IS-happening!



We will miss you guys! T-T

8 days after Kickstarter -- and we're already back to work producing new characters and features to bring this vision to life!   This Week At A Glance   Lot of "under the surface" stuff happening

This is actually the first concept where we're showing an Archetype with a Discipline equipped (The Wolf). Which I really like! 

Glad everyone is enjoying the look! Funny to see the picture of Natalie cause I didn't even think of that i swear!

So....im going to assume that rangers either get a class pet or a spell that allows them to tame poorly made socks. Some variation of pet not obtained through a rune.



(No, this doesn't mean that the female Rangers automatically get pet wolves!  It's just a picture, folks!)

This is actually the first concept where we're showing an Archetype with a Discipline equipped (The Wolf). Which I really like!

I like her, she's cool and her outfit is cool. I also like the image in general. The artist that does these is very good with light and texture. He's also doing a good job keeping the palette cohesive and the pieces stylistically simple without making them look boring. Each piece looks distinct from the others for the most part, each one evokes a different mood. Good job artist dude (who I am assuming is Dave Greco).


Anyway, keep up the good work ACE. I expect things to be relatively quiet around here until alpha, but that's how these things go. I'm looking forward to the shop additions, particularly the package upgrades and individual item sales. Nose to grindstone time, the agonizing "long wait" is upon us.

In fact, another of the archetype concepts is ready for you now: the female Ranger! As an added bonus to this one, we've given her a wolf pet -- since we achieved that stretch goal when we crossed the $1.7m line in Kickstarter!  



I'm not sure if you've followed that (http://every-flavored-bean.tumblr.com/post/112569173199/every-woman-in-every-disney-pixar-movie-in-the) but it is an ongoing problem indeed, very boring and I think the reason I tend to go for non-human avatars whenever possible meanwhile: the female ones all look basically the same, pretty and no character.

It would be nice if we could have some female faces in Crowfall who aren't all following the same schematic of perfect-face-by-Disney-prototype. Real people faces with variety like male avatars are allowed too please!

I've been very happy to see the attire of most of your female warriors as they finally are serious and not just pre-pubescent wet dreams. Keep it up!

I am really excited that new Archetypes are continuing to be released and created.  More diversity and choice in characters will definitely draw more players to the murder (as in crows).  Keep em coming!!!

The above was taken from the front page for the current $150,000 goal. May want to revise that when possible. Poor grammar could be detrimental. Especially when it is seen right from the get-go. On the segment requesting additional funding of all things.

My personal wish, while really not likely, is if the Ranger was like a beast master, and some large beasts like Wargs could be ridden on, ala Black Desert.

I just like the idea of have huge mountable pets.  But far more often then not pets are usually an after thought to just another bow wielding character, rather then an central part of their kit.
