At the very least a wolf mount so I can pretend to be Princess Mononoke~ ; 3 ;

I really loved the concept of Bangaas in Final Fantasy XII, especially the Bangaa mercenaries tasked to hunt Balthier.

I kind of want a kobold prospector but that depends on the resource gathering mechanics.

I definitely want a kobold though.

Dwarf Fortress has made me want to live the kobold dream, as well as the WoW/ DND kobolds..I want that experience in my life.

Maybe a kobold trapper, with a swampy theme....though a bard character kind of works if you get em swampy too.

excerpt_MM_0916_1.png

Specialized in stealth, and traps. Some earth-themed magic. Can burrow better than Guenicieans, but dig way worse. (Meaning you can get under a wall, but you can't bring your friends.) Also no explosives or guns.

Wears leather. Uses rogue-y weapons. Stealths.

Kobold-only Specialist. Removes Leather. Adds staff specialization. Adds a suite of illusion-themed magic to existing Earth Magic. Can create clones of other players, illusions of Monsters (or packs of monsters), can appear as other Archetypes, or charm other players for short periods of time.

Adds line of long duration Reptilian-only NPC charm spells (Works on Wyverns, Kobolds, Dragons, Basilisks, or similar species).

I don't want to see copy pasta kobolds, but you know...still in style.

I think they should copy the D&D lizard-person style Kobolds as close as possible without getting sued. It's a massively popular race, and literally no MMORPG has actually done it. Not even the DDO or Neverwiner games let you play em.

I'd be up for some kind of lizardman archetype. Alternatively some kind of ethereal or elemental would make a fun change from more standard playable races.

Heck yeah Lizardmen.

Elementals would be rad too.

Basically something other than another human would be rad. If they're going to race lock us, and sell it as allowing much more unique races, then may as well have some fun with it.

Let's play as djinns. Flying caster archetype sounds fun and a huge pain in the bottom.

Furies in Shadowbane were this, and were tons of fun. They had a group flight ability as well. I assumed they were probably going to stick something like that as a Druid or Assassin promotion class, but having a Djinn would be way cooler.

The Djinn

Role: Ranged DPS (Magic)

Promotion Classses

Channeler

Role: Ranged DPS (Magic)

Key Abilities: Huge burst damage. Elemental pets. Dying a lot.

Tempest

Role: Melee/Ranged DPS (Magic)

Key Abilities: Two swords. Teleports. Running real fast. Lightning bolts everywhere.

Fury

Role: Specialist (Magic)

Key Abilities: Improved Flight. Group Flight. Debuffs. Super keen storms and stuff.

id play the hell out of an elemental

Have any MMOs let you actually play an elemental as a Player Character? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Having 'Elemental' as an archetype would be kind of cool, cause then you could have all the Promotion classes be particular elements. Have the Archetype start out as just this ethereal blob, and have it change to a particular element when you promote.

You have Stoneborn for that! They're made of stone, fundamentally different from all other races offered thus far. You could say they're Elementals, of earth.
