My Beef with Game of Thrones *spoilers*

George R.R. Martin is an infuriating man. He brought us what seemed to be a good fantasy series with intrigue but what was quickly marred by Daenarys Targaryen and her quest to screw her way to Westeros.

We have watched good characters die so this entitled brat who makes incredibly stupid decisions get more page time. With the death of Jon Snow at the end of Book Five I can only imagine Book Six will be entitled, "Daenarys Targaryen Continues to do Nothing of Consequence Plus a Chapter Where Tyrion says something Witty".

I almost think that George R.R. Martin is using character deaths to make up for his inability to tell a non-convoluted story. How many books until we even see an end in sight? Its like a TV show that's been on to many seasons past its prime.

The Wheel of Time fell into the same trappings. The middle books were unbearably slow. In fact if Robert Jordan didn't know he was dieing and Brandon Sanderson hadn't come along we would be on at least Book 16 and Rand Al'Thor would still be talking to himself.

But there is hope for the Game of Thrones. The answer is simple: Kill Daenarys Targaryen.

You are so incredibly helpful, CYT. I don't know how I ever managed to do anything before we met. I was just bumbling my way through life, all lost-like. Thank you. My blessing cup runneth over.

WoT - 6 books problems solved with a 10 minute meeting via gates.  Very annoying.

A Song of Ice and Fire - Yeah.  I bet snow will be saved by that fire wench.  He isn't dead dead, just sorta dead.  He gets better.  Hopefully Sanderson is clearing his schedule to complete this series next.

Jon Snow isn't dead. The dragon has to have three heads, and he's one of them. He is, after all, Dany's nephew.

LOL at the comment about Sanderson ending the series. I actually predicted RJ would die before finishing WoT. That's a series that got bloated and lost its way. Just like Song of Ice and Fire. I'm even more confident Martin won't live long enough to finish his series. Look at the guy...he's extremely unhealthy, and no spring chicken.

Daenarys still must die.

Maybe the answer lies with that line of thinking...

For me, I enjoy him killing off good characters, it adds to the tension that "No character is safe" It's slightly more realistic in that sense, well as realistic as a fantasy setting can be, right? xD But anyway. Daenerys I guarantee will have what's coming to her, -ALL- the characters will probably go through at least a close encounter, maybe a major set back or two, besides, things aren't looking good for our little silver-haired girly over there. ;)
