Crafting Suggestion - Brewing

Recommended Posts

Brewing would add a lot of resource flow in the economy, just as much if not more than any cooking profession. You can use all sorts of grains (malt) for mash. Nearly any other ingredient in the world, mainly hops, for a flavor / bittering agent and a multitude of yeast strands, which would all be bought from farmers. It would also add craftables to other crafting professions as well. Someone has to make your kettles and burners and bottles. And in the end you get liquid gold that provides some sort of buff and everyone likes beer. There is literally no wrong with it.

Needs to be made according to proper brewing procedures and done correctly. Also change that "almost any other ingredient" to hops for starters. The accurate term for "grains" to be used in brewing would be malts (well, grains with proper procedures)

Bah it isn't needed or enforced anymore. You are missing out on so many amazing brews.

You are correct, I was trying to emphasize how it would tie into other crafting / gather professions but I will make modifications.

Also I agree that they should follow proper brewing procedures. Don't want some half ass poorly made socks where its just water + things and poof beer.

I'd be deported for making such blasphemous statements!!

All these fruity beers and other nonsense, because the lil prussian bellend has an oh so delicate palate and thinks the beer is too bitter.

Hell no. Bavarian pitchforks will be raised and your city burned to the ground!!!

will we be able to get drunk and make the screen all fuzzy too? this is important

When you're old enough to actually drink you'll realize alcohol does not lead to a blurry vision.

I just read about the "Reinheitsgebot" and I am in complete agreement with freeze, I'd smack people around for ruining proper beers.

I've been known to enjoy 100+ IBU beers but theres nothing wrong with something like this. http://www.stonebrewing.com/porter/chipotle/ . America isn't all about the light yellow dog piss anymore and the big name brewers are feeling the sales hits. Don't worry Freeze and Nehemia there are some American craftbrews making there way across the pond to enlighten you guys. http://www.bonappetit.com/drinks/beer/article/american-beer-europe

I'm sure it'll be a hit

As much as I hate to admit it, Helsinki Beer Festival's "beer of the year" went unfortunately to some american craftbeer... Not that I agree with the judges on that one.

I would hope, with there being a food mechanic in the game, we see both cooking and brewing in the game.

and seeing 50 drunk minotaurs charging across a field would be most awesome.
