Curious if Templars will be interruption focused

It seems like it would have synergy with a dodge type melee archetype. Breaking combos would be kinda cool IMO. They could even make a combo for breaking a combo combo. What are your thoughts?

my thoughts are that they would add a good interrupt ability to each class, some classes as the Templar may be well balanced in offence or defense. in case a class specialized on crowd control exists it is most likely to be a specialist archetype.

Significant movement could often be a combination breaker, since a toon won't be in the sweet spot for recieving damage from the next power in the chain.

If ACE allows a little time between precursor completion and next power intiation, players can move a little to compensate; and there will be less bunny-hopping (and other stilted unnecessary movement), combinations will typically proceed to the crescendo powers more often, and there will be more of a need for the combo-breaker powers you're suggesting.


I think the K-Mart of MMO's already exists!  And it ain't us!   :)

Chancellor, you gave me a thought...when people bunny hop they should be VERY easy to knock over. Meaning if you jump and someone hits you, you should fall over, be stunned face first in the ground, bonus damage to all the people backstabbing them as they lay on the ground , and stuck there for awhile. Very quickly it would put an end to the bunny hopping goofballs.

This wouldn't work. As timing is key, interrupts need to be quick to fire.

A combo breaking combo can lead with the interrupt or interrupt several times in a row for suppression. Like a high disruption, low impact combo.

My only concern here is how server latency works with servers and players all over.  i am sorta inclined to go with the mana purge just for practicality.  

 

Don't get me wrong I like the idea.  In fact in theory I think it very good.  I am just not sure if we have EU and NA players all in one CW it will be effective.

 

That make sense?
