Time to say "HELLO" to all the future friends :3

Recommended Posts

Never really tried this before but, here it goes. My G-tag is Malcipher. I play a large number of games ranging from MMOS to RTS to FPS and so fourth. I found this project in the early stages of kickstarter. the video that they put up to explain their vision WOW'd me and I immediately fell in love. The sheer out look of what they are trying to accomplish is amazing and I'm willing to wait for it. But enough of that I came here to make some friends and hopefully join others in this game at launch of beta.

I got my first real bit of MMORPG gaming from ULTIMA ONLINE i played somewhere around 10 years until the game became to much of a grind for the next best armor and lost interest. i moved on to WOW and played that for around 9 years (off and on) I lost interest in the game after blizzard made it clear that the game content was just going to be as unimaginative as ever they never really kicked out anything new or innovative. So i moved on to different games like guild wars and Aion and such. BUT I would NEVER forget my time playing Ultima online as the memories I have playing it stuck with me and I always wish for those fun and fond times again, so I'm really hoping to connect with others in this game as it incorporates all the things that I really see as important in a game teamwork and communication.

I never really RP'd before but was always interested and would love to find others that are willing to be patient enough to guide me in to that aspect. I don't always make a good leader but, strategy was always my strong suite. I normally play supporting roles like healing, tank, or status effects I love having a good strong but understandable leader who knows there are limits to a persons skill or that they may still be catching that learning curve. I really can't wait for this new world to play in, and I really can't wait to see what memories this game will instill.

I haven't really found a archetype in this game that says "PLAY ME" yet, but I really love the idea of a druid or the frostweaver. I have never really seen centaurs in games and the ones I have seen are not playable or hideous so I'm really looking forward to that as well.

I unfortunately wasn't able to buy into the higher tiers but I really wanted to help even though the $30 I spent was small I did what I could promoting it in various places (especially when they made the female centaur a possible playable race). I stream games from time to time on twitch I hope to do so with this game as well I hope to see you all in game. Well in the end I guess I'm done rambling so later all.

Your hopeful ally,

Malcipher  :D

Welcome to the community man and a $30 pledge is plenty.

I also invested a lot of my time into UO and WOW, not as much on UO as you but a few years of coming back and forth as well as the 10 years of WoW.

I'f you are still looking for an archetype make sure you look at Duelist again, Swords, Guns and shovels... Imagine the underground tunnels/ underground bases we will make HAHAHA.

Welcome to the forums!

Hopefully Crowfall will manage to reignite that awesome UO feeling you once had.  If you're interested in RP, there are definitely people here that would be excited to involve you.  I'd suggest heading over to the Role-play forum and seeing if anything grabs you.

Well, that is quite a qualifying statement in itself.  Ultima was not exactly for the faint of heart.  Welcome to Crowfall!   Also, if you really liked ultima, you may also want to take a look at shoudoftheavatar.com made by the same guy.  However, I doubt it will be nearly as PVP vicious as ultima was.  I invested in both SOTA and then Crowfall because of SOTA friends.

All the best!

I also backed SOTA, in hopes of finding those lost fun times then one day my brother in law told me about this game to be and I fell in love with the style of world they wanted to create so I decided to back both of them unfortunately I had already backed SOTA for so much that my funds were basically depleted. Ultima Online had so many random ways to enjoy the game and no "one" way was to do it, there were your normal this is the "OP" build like when the spell channel / archers became the only way to pvp, or the samurai / paladin tamers. The best time to play was before the introduction of trammel and felucca separated pvp/pve zones it all used to be pvp, but the best part no items had stats so it was just skills and outplay

If I could have a nickel for every time I read that, I would be eating an incredible steak dinner right now. :)

Greetings and welcome to the forums!

I never played UO, probably because I'm younger and at the time was in grade school busy with Runescape (lol).  But if it's that kind of PvP you're looking for, my best suggestion is a game called Tibia, if you want to look it up.  I used to play it for a little while and there were many times that I was killed by people thirty levels above me.  In an exciting, I am always in danger, sort of way.  The PvP is, I believe, any time minus a few of the safe zones.  My gripe with the game was that it gets very grindy to level your character.  I'll let you do your own research, if you're interested.  It's the only lead I really have towards such a thing though as we await Crowfall, so I figured I would offer it up!  I am also very excited for the world, because it seems like they are building an interesting world that we will actually be able to adventure in.

Here's hoping,

Felled

I agree its a dead statement but it always needs to be known that once upon a time in pvp land. . . . there was no safe place  . . .well until the "GUARDS!!!!" were called
